
Omega 3 Buttered Walnuts
Who said eating omega 3 had to be fishy? Walnuts are one of the top three omega 3 fatty acid providers alongside cold water fish and flax seed. Personally, this is the only one I would like to have caramelized! If you’re a pecan fan, they substitute here very well. This is a nice treat to put in a pretty bowl for snacking when guests are over.

Method
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Melt butter in small pan and add sugar and syrup. Cook until it bubbles, then add nuts. Stir constantly for two minutes.
- Lightly grease a baking sheet and spread nuts out.
- Bake 8-9 minutes, then cool for 30 minutes and store in airtight container.
- Salt very lightly to taste while warm. OTL 2010
