Black Bean Dip

Ingredients
  

  • 4 garlic clove(s) crushed
  • 15 oz(s) black beans rinsed and drained
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 1/2 tbsp lime juice
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • pinch ground red pepper pinch=1/8 tsp.

Method
 

  1. 1. Blend all ingredients in blender or food processor until smooth.
  2. Tomato paste: Freeze leftover paste from can in a small ziplock for use in soup or sauce. Ketchup can be substituted but it makes the dip somewhat sweet.
