Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In mixing bowl combine apple sauce, butter, sucanat and peanut butter. Add eggs and mix thoroughly.
Sprinkle all dry ingredients over the top of the mixture in bowl, then mix in just until blended.
Fold in chips, cranberries and walnuts with a large spoon.
Drop by heaping tablespoons onto cookie sheets and bake for 9 minutes, or until golden brown.
*Use a small coffee bean grinder to make flax meal right before using.
Variation: For Omega 3 Champions, omit the chocolate chips and cranberries. Press one half of shelled walnut on top of each cookie before baking.
