Method
- Place pitted cherries, wine and lemon zest in cooking pot and simmer 15 minutes. Turn off heat, put lid on pot and let sit for 2 hours.
- Serve cherries and some of the liquid over ice cream or with some fresh whipped cream on top. *Don't throw the extra liquid away! Use in a fruit shake, drink as is, or add some sparkling water and a little liquid stevia if needed for extra sweetness.
