Fruit Juice Sorbet

Nothing hits the spot like cold, sweet, icy desserts when it's hot outside. Fruit juice sorbet supplies a good dose of vitamin C as well as no saturated fat calories like ice cream. If you haven't invested in an ice cream maker yet, consider getting one so you can practice making this easy and healthy treat. Ingredients
  

  • 3 cup(s) fresh fruit juice grapefruit, lime, orange
  • 3/4 cup(s) sugar reduce by 1/4 c. with orange juice

Method
 

  1. Prep Work: Squeeze juice if not purchasing it.
  2. Combine 3/4 cup juice and sugar into a small saucepan. On medium-low heat stir until sugar dissolves completely; approx. 1-2 minutes.
  3. Pour in the rest of the juice and refrigerate until luke warm.
  4. Pour mixture into ice cream maker and follow the manufacturer's instructions; approx. 20 min.
  5. Store sorbet in an airtight container in the freezer.

Notes

If you like tart, you'll like this with the grapefruit or lime especially!
