Prep Work: Pulse or hand crumble bread into coarse crumbs. Mince onion. Chop kale. Shred cheese.
Do all prep work before starting. Cook spaghetti according to package directions. Add kale to pot with noodles to cook.
Heat 2 Tbsp. olive oil in skillet w/ medium-high heat and saute bread crumbs 3 min. Add 3 cloves garlic and saute 1 min. more. Season with salt and pepper and transfer to a bowl.
Return skillet to medium-high heat and cook bacon 2 min.; then add onion for 6 min. more. Add garlic and red pepper flakes for 30 seconds. (Without bacon, saute onions in olive oil and add Worcestershire sauce with garlic.)
Add broth to skillet and lower heat to simmer. Cover and remove from heat.
Drain noodles and kale and return to pot or serving dish. Stir in beans and cheese; then mix in onion sauce. Sprinkle servings with bread crumbs.
