Sliders

These are delicious paired with the Tropical Fruit Salad which can be diced while the patties bake.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 1/4 lb(s) ground sirloin
  • 1 1/4 lb(s) ground turkey
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1/4 cup(s) ketchup
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1 tbsp chipotle chili in adobo sauce minced
  • 12 whole wheat dinner rolls
  • 1 cup(s) arugula or watercress, baby lettuces

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees and grease a baking sheet.
  2. Combine meat, salt and pepper. Form into galf ball sized balls and flatten on baking sheet.
  3. Place in oven, 5 min. on one side and 5-6 min. on the other. They will cook a bit more after they come out so take them out right after all pink is gone.
  4. Mix ketchup with cumin and chipotle pepper. Serve sliders with ketchup and a few leaves of arugula or other green. LEFTOVERS: Freeze for another meal or snack, make into meatball sandwiches by broiling with bar-b-q sauce and provolone, or cut into chunks and add to soup.
