Put flour and salt in a mixing bowl. Put water in a seperate, small bowl and add a few ice cubes. Set aside.
Cut butter into flour with two knives.
While the mixer is going add water 1 Tbsp. at a time ( approx. 5-6) just until all flour comes together and forms a ball of dough.
4.Lightly flour a flat surface and roll dough into a 12" circle.
Roll the dough over the top of the rolling pin and transfer to pie plate.
Cut edges which overhang the sides evenly and pinch dough all the way around.
Store in refrigerator until ready to fill and bake.
